University Advancement is responsible for strategically positioning the UO with its various constituents and securing resources to further its aims. The division consists of approximately 200 employees primarily working out of Eugene, with offices in Portland and Bend. Departments within University Advancement include: Advancement/UO Alumni Association; Development; Stewardship and Public Events; Advancement Operations; Federal Affairs; and State and Community Affairs.


Advancement Operations provides essential services that build a strong foundation from which University Advancement departments can promote the university’s priorities and operate within a framework of efficient business practices. Programs within Advancement Operations include: Prospect Management and Analytics, Financial Services, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Facilities and Office Operations, and IT Services.


The Office of Prospect Management and Analytics (PMA) is responsible for the identification of prospects, and implementation of the Prospect Management System to aid development officers to fundraise to their highest capacity. PMA collaborates with development staff to analyze and identify Prospects for development portfolios; promotes a systematic and quantifiable framework through which development staff manage relationships with potential donors; and provides strategic evaluation and measurements of fundraising progress.


Under the guidance and direction of the Assistant Director of Prospect Management, this position possesses a comprehensive knowledge of the Prospect Management System, and is responsible for auditing and tracking of prospect records and maintaining data integrity of prospect information throughout the pipeline. The Prospect Management Analyst also reviews and revises Prospect Management System policies, procedures and reports, engaging key stakeholders in discussions and system review. This position regularly conducts analytics on prospect management data and provides reports on development activities and fundraiser performance to development leadership and stakeholders.


With a customer service focus, the Prospect Management Analyst communicates, provides information, and strategizes with frontline fundraisers and their assistants on a daily basis. This position also provides hands-on instruction for data input on prospect relationships, prospect strategies, and information retrieval, and is an integral team member in training fundraisers and development staff on Prospect Management System policies.


Salary is commensurate with experience and will range from $16.14 - $24.33 per hour. The university offers an excellent package of employee benefits.
