University Advancement is responsible for strategically positioning the UO with its various constituents and securing resources to further its aims. The division consists of approximately 200 employees primarily working out of Eugene, with offices in Portland and Bend. Departments within University Advancement include: Advancement/UO Alumni Association; Development; Stewardship and Public Events; Advancement Operations; Federal Affairs; and State and Community Affairs.

Advancement Operations provides essential services that build a strong foundation from which University Advancement departments can promote the university’s priorities and operate within a framework of efficient business practices. Programs within Advancement Operations include: Prospect Management and Analytics, Financial Services, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Facilities and Office Operations, and IT Services.

The Office of Prospect Management and Analytics (PMA) is responsible for the identification of prospects and the implementation of the Prospect Management System to aid development officers to fundraise to their highest capacity. PMA collaborates with advancement staff to analyze and identify lead annual, mid-level and major gift prospects for development portfolios and broader pipeline development. They promote a systematic and quantifiable framework through which development staff can manage relationships with potential donors and they provide strategic evaluation and measurement of fundraising progress.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Prospect Development, the prospect analyst provides reliable and timely information gathering and analysis in order to make recommendations to advancement staff for the purpose of securing and stewarding philanthropic gifts. The essential responsibilities of this position center on using data from internal and external sources to provide information and strategic recommendations used to cultivate prospective donors. The prospect analyst employs a variety of approaches, including assessing publicly available information from free and subscription sources, as well as statistical techniques. This position interacts with development staff on a daily basis, and with advancement leadership, University of Oregon Foundation staff and others as needed. The prospect analyst works both independently and in teams. Decisions are made in conjunction with PMA leadership regarding project design and methodology as well as individual workload.

Salary is commensurate with experience and will range from $22.12 - $33.85 per hour. The university offers an excellent package of employee benefits.
